Meet The Knight

Have you ever met the knight outside of the school gym? If you haven’t, don’t be shy, he won’t say much to you. Actually, he won’t say anything at all, because he’s a statue.

If you have met the knight, you may have had some questions for it, but never got an answer because it’s a statue.

Here are a few facts about the knight. It was a senior present in 2008, funded by a small percentage of the money that came in through varsity sports games. Thanks to FHS students spending money on tickets and snacks, we can greet a friendly knight every day with a smile on our faces. Al Marzilli was the principal here when the knight was installed. Therefore, the name of our school guardian is Sir Al.

Although I cannot find many answers to the questions that you may have had or have, I do know that he is a loyal knight who will be on our campus for as long as Foothill will stand.

Sir Al is by far the best high school statue of a knight in the Tustin Unified School District. Sir Al is seven feet tall, which makes him almost impossible to miss when you’re on campus.

It is very comforting knowing that Sir Al will always be here for us to see no matter what the weather conditions may be! Sir Al will never judge you for anything you have to say and he will always be in the same place.

Thank you, Sir Al. We are truly thankful for your prodigious services.
