This article has been on my mind since the beginning of senior year. Each month, as I continued to write the Knightly Tea, the more my brain barked at me, blabbing about what I could do to mark my last article.
If I am being honest, I still have no clue what to write about this month. So I decided on writing about having nothing to write about. I think this theme fits perfectly with my motivation for the rest of this year. I can barely pay attention in my classes this semester, I have zero energy to do homework, and do not get me started on the tests that I refuse to study for.
But, instead of complaining about this year (like I usually do), I want to put a bit of a positive spin on this month’s tea. I created this monthly column as an outlet for myself to get out frustration, annoyance, or criticism I had during each month of this school year. It helped so much to manage my stress and put things into perspective, not only for my peers at FHS, but for the teachers as well, to help them understand what is really going on from a student’s point of view.
With a heavy heart, I have to say this will be the last Knightly Tea, unless someone copies me in a few years and thinks it is their own idea.
Nevertheless, I so appreciated this outlet and chance to share my thoughts and ideas with our community. I know this column could sometimes be a downer, or a little toxic, but I wanted to thank you personally for letting me use my critical voice to vent, rant, or use this as a safe space.
I hope that my column took you away from this crazy world and ultimately, just made you smile. Not to be cheesy, but that is truly all I wanted to accomplish.
Sincerely,
Gina Saputo
