On April 19, the 2019 Marble Olympics started off rolling with an opening ceremony followed by an underwater race.
The Marble Olympics have taken place on the Youtube channel “Jelle’s Marble Runs” annually since 2016.
Events take place twice a week and encompass a variety of challenges. Some of these events include funnel racing, where the marbles try to stay spinning in a funnel for as long as possible, and balancing, where the marbles try to stay on a track without a railing for as long as possible without falling off.
There are 16 teams competing in this year’s Marble Olympics. Some competitors include Mellow Yellow, the Chocolatiers, and this year’s hosts: the Oceanics.
It seems that so far the main five contenders for first place this year are the Hazers, the Savage Speeders, the Green Ducks, the Crazy Cats Eyes, and the Rasberry Racers.
In the upcoming races I expect the Crazy Cat’s Eyes to continue moving up, as they have been improving throughout the events.
Stay tuned on “Jelle’s Marble Runs” to catch upcoming competitions.
