How To Study Finals

Jacob Harden – staff writer

Finals are coming up, and the pressure to get that good grade in the class seems to matter more than ever. There are many different ways to prepare for finals, but the first step is learning what type of learner you are.
The first type of learner is a visual learner. This type of learner learns best when visually shown what is going on in the lesson. Those who study through visuals are more likely to understand what is written on the board. The best way to go about this for finals is to highlight all your notes for important information.
The second type of learner is a tactical learner. These learners find it best to learn by doing the instructed activity, not watching it or hearing it. For example, watch what the teacher does, then do the guided activity. The best way to learn is to see it yourself; however, using flashcards is a great supplement.
The third type of learner is an auditory learner. An auditory learner is someone who learns best by hearing what’s presented during learning. The best way to study using this method is to go out and find a study buddy and talk with each other about the topic; hearing this will help you understand the material.
In conclusion, learning what kind of learner you are is crucial to figure out the best study method. Try all three types of learning to find what works best for your success.
