British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran is back after a year-long break from social media. Sheeran returned with the long-awaited release of his third album, ÷, on March 3. The album begins with the song “Eraser,” a snappy folk rap in which he looks back on his musical career and tries to explain the sometimes overwhelming effects of fame. It then offers up a set of catchy, meaningful songs, with verses and choruses in all the right places. It closes with “Supermarket Flowers,” which is a tribute to his late grandmother. In both of his previous albums, + and x, a pattern of mathematical signs is followed, which thus lead to ÷. If you like pop music with a touch of acoustic and rap, then this album is “Perfect” for you.
