“Percy Jackson”: The newly released Percy Jackson TV series, “Percy Jackson and the Olympians,” has been lauded among critics as a true homage to the original book series.
Unlike the 2010 film, which barely reaped a 50% on Rotten Tomatoes, this film blew that
performance away with an incredible 97%. As one top critic reports, the show “caters much
more to devoted fans than the 2010s movies.” This may be due to any number of improvements: the more age-appropriate cast, who mostly align with the characters’ ages from the books, the fantastically detailed set design, or the exciting plot, often full of Easter eggs from the books. Regardless, it is clear that this series is worth a watch, whether you’ve read the books or not.
