Young People of January and February

Foothill’s Young Man of January Kendon (Brooks) Mallory, is enrolled in many activities on campus, such as varsity basketball where he serves as a captain. He’s also enrolled in varsity track, Knights in Progress (a program designed to help the new freshmen on campus), CSF, and Boys Charity Service League. Brooks plans to attend Indiana University or California Lutheran University and major in business accounting.
The Young Woman of January is Samantha Telson. She’s an active Knight, enrolled in ASB for two years, captain of varsity tennis, a member of the National Charity League, President of ICC, amd President of Max Love Club. Samantha is currently undecided over what college to attend, but she plans to major in sociology and minor in business.
Soroptimist of January is Cameron Mallory. Cameron is a captain and four-year varsity basketball player for our Lady Knights team. Cameron is also Vice Chairman for the Assistance League of Tustin, enrolled in Knights in Progress, and Advanced Placement classes. Cameron is committed to California Lutheran University where she plans to continue her basketball career and major in business accounting.
The Young Man of February is Jacob (JJ) Jang, who participates in varsity basketball, varsity golf, CSF, and BCSL (Boys Community Service League). Jacob plans to attend Cal Poly San Luis Obispo or University of Washington and plans to major in finance.
The Young Woman of February is Madeline Salvatierra. She’s enrolled in many extracurricular activities on campus such as Link Crew, CSF, and she also organized a after-school program to introduce Hewes students to computer science. Madeline also participates in Girl Scouts, through which she has recieved a Gold Award. Madeline has been a member of the Assistance League for five years, and was honored for volunteering for an impressive total of 300 hours. Lastly, she’s president of her religious youth group. Madeline plans to attend Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University, and will be majoring in business.
The Soroptimist of February is Elizabeth Bennett. She’s enrolled in Eco Club Center, National Charity League, CSF and NHS. Elizabeth plans to attend University of Portland or Seattle University, and her major is still undeclared.
